Disclaimer: Many of the concepts used in this RP are inspired by Anne McCaffrey's Pern series. They do not belong to us and all rights are reserved by her. Not all things in this game will perfectly mirror the Pern universe, but we only stray out of love. You don't need to know anything about Pern to play.
1. All interaction will, for the foreseeable future, take place in third-person bracketed action format.

skiesofnowhere, and tagged with your character's name. Your character's journal is for commenting purposes only -- fill it with memes, archiving, AU logs, whatever you like!

2. If your character Impresses a dragon, that dragon is an NPC controlled by you. Like a pet, but not. This dragon will have a personality and will probably be a near-constant presence in your character's life, whether or not they are physically present (thanks to telepathy!). Be prepared for this!
4. This game takes place at a real-life pace, but at a real-life pace it would be a year at best before any of the dragons are ready to be ridden! Therefore, we may -- once certain milestones are achieved, and nothing player-driven seems to be going on, and with player agreement -- engage in "timeskips" to fast forward to later periods in the game.
5. It's wonderful if you know all about Pern, like about firelizards and firestone and between. But ask mod permission before introducing these elements! We don't want your character introducing between when most of us can barely fly.
6. This game is not rated. Things definitely have the potential to get steamy later on by the nature of Weyr life, so everyone needs to be prepared for that possibility, but remember that some people might find surprise sexy or violent content objectionable. If while tagging you start to get into objectionable content, please edit the post to add that to the warning.
7. On a related note, this game is omni-friendly. Please don't come in here and start spreading intolerance about het, slash, or femslash relationships -- unless it's IC, and it's IC for your character to do so. You get one warning for OOC, then you're out.
8. Behave like adults. Do not create or encourage drama amongst players; communicate openly with others about your intentions and problems; consider and accept concrit graciously; do not cry or blame others for the IC consequences of your character's actions. You get one warning, then you're out.
9. There is a thing called god-mode. God-mode is when you use OOC knowledge in game, thus making your character psychic; god-mode is when you assume you have the right to do things without mod or player permission; god-mode is when you play a fight scene and never let your character take a hit. Don't do this. You get one warning, then you're out.
0. Fourth-wall breaking is only allowed if your character canonically knows the series in question.
